Most people prefer laminate flooring because they loved it for its durability, it is reasonably inexpensive, and when compared to other types of flooring, it is relatively low maintenance. Laminate floors are purposely to make your flooring look clean and polished, and with proper care suggested by Kent House Cleaning and maintenance by using House Cleaning products, it will still look shiny over the years.
If you are unsure on how to keep your laminate shiny, Kent House Cleaning collected a few tips for you.
Tip #1. Clean regularly.
Dirt and grime can also accumulate on top of your beautiful and shining laminate floors. Do a general House Cleaning at least once a week, and then a more thorough clean once a month. First, use a mop to get rid of dirt and dust from your floor. For your light House Cleaning, use either a dusting mop or a vacuum with a fluffy brush. Never use a regular broom because a lot of these have thick, straw-like bristles that can ruin the flooring over time. Laminate is a thin wood layer over an artificial medium density fiberboard. It is exposed to surface damage and that is the reason why using any House Cleaning harsh cloths or mops is not advisable.
Tip #2. Choose the right cleaner.
Using the wrong House Cleaning products can build up on your laminate floors and make it dull and possibly worse than you can imagine. To remove this, you should only use a trusted House Cleaning product specifically designed to polish laminate floors or a water and vinegar mixture for shine!
Tip #3. Wipe spills immediately.
While laminate is durable, it is not desirable for this to become overly wet. Use a microfiber cloth to wipe up liquids on the laminate. By using a towel, gather solid waste once food spills on your floor. Drying the spot thoroughly using House Cleaning cloth once you are done because any moisture, even water, that sits on the flooring for a lengthened period can damage it and wears-off the protective layer.
Tip #4. Buffing.
To get a beautiful shine off your floors try buffing it dry. Look for a House Cleaning ultra-absorbent or microfiber mop, then once you have cleared the floor of any dust and dirt, work in gentle circular movements with your House Cleaning buffer to buff your laminate floor to a squeaky, sparkly, and shiny!
Tip #5 Use protective pads on furniture.
It’s time to start protecting your laminate floors. Use outdoor and indoor mats at the front of your home. To encourage your guests or family household to wipe their shoes before they enter your house. To avoid your laminate floors from scratches caused by chair and table legs, and other furniture, place felt round pads underneath your furniture that touches the laminate to protect the floor.
Following the Kent House Cleaning will surely help you to restore your laminate floors and how to get the job done using the right polishing method.
